It just doesn't seem right to be talking about myself when I have diligently spent most of my life trying to stay in the background, settling to be the follower instead of the leader, but for all of you, I will try. Here is how it goes...
I am a middle age(young forties to be exact) father of three who until recently didn't even know that I wanted to write. I have been creative all my life, drawing and painting mostly. I guess if I really think about it I have been a writer since high school. Mostly a doodler, always writing down ideas, my feelings, what I think in general, why I even had the entire faculty of my high school thinking that I was an orphan after the short story I had to write for my English final my senior year ( I just remembered that)!
I'm a dreamer and a thinker...my mind is always racing in every direction, sometimes to the point of distraction. I'm loyal and steady, and anyone who really gets me, knows that they can always count on me.
I am also grateful...to all of you and to this site that I accidentally stumbled across, I finally have a release for what is on my mind. I welcome your comments and ideas. Thanks for having me!
My passion is ...
to make this world a better place for not just my kids, but for everyone, the only way to do that is by example.
I know too much about ...
weird trivia, television show theme songs, people who strive to make the day unbearable
My parents always told me ...
that they expected me to be the responsible one, in everything I did
My childhood ambition ...
to be a major recording star (until I realized I couldn't sing), a doctor or a vet (until they told me how much math and science I needed to know- neither my strong points)!
My favorite memory ...
the births of each of my three children
Why I write ...
I have so much to say, and until just recently didn't even realize that I had a way to let it be known. I am not the best speaker...
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
reading: all of the great stuff on this site, watching: American Idol, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, listening to: snow patrol, chris daughtry, christian adult contemporary
My first job ...
working at a hot dog stand
My best moment ...
the look on my best friends face when we threw him a surprise 25th anniversary party at work and invited everyone that worked in the building...priceless
My inspiration ...
my children, my best friend, my quest to make a difference and to bring about change
