About me

In case you are wondering, I am the guy on the left and the beautiful woman next to me is my fiance and soon to be wife (June 6, 2009)!

I am opinionated, ambitious, and idealistic. I believe that every person has the ability to change his/her circumstances for the better. Whether that change for the better includes more money, more time, a bigger family, and/or more happiness, to name a few, each person has the ability to make that idea come to fruition.

I am constantly working to obtain my version of success. I cannot wait for the day when I am able to wake up in the morning and have the freedom to do whatever I want for that day and for the rest of my life. This is my goal, and I am constantly striving to achieve it.

I am always trying to educate myself about finances, real estate, the stock market, and basically every other avenue of financial and banking information. I feel that knowing these things will help me make wise investment decisions that will ultimately help me achieve my goal.

I am a stronger believer that happiness is more important than wealth. However, I also believe that a person can have both.

I have not always made the best credit and debt decisions. While I was in college, I would obtain credit cards just for the sake of having them. I never paid attention to interest rate, terms or fees. As such, I found myself in trouble with debt.

My trouble led me to hire a debt consolidation company and a credit repair company. My experiences with all of these events led me to study the science of credit usage and credit scores. During this time, I learned about my rights as a debtor and the limitations of credit card companies and credit reporting bureaus.

As the "Managing Credit and Debt" channel steward for the Personal Finance Channel, I would like to share my experiences and knowledge with you so that you can correct and/or avoid making the mistakes that I made. Also, I hope to give you a little knowledge about your ability to greatly improve your credit and debt situation so that you can possess the tools to create your own version of success.

If you feel like writing an article for the Personal Finance channel, and more specifically, the Managing Credit and Debt channel, drop me a line if you want some pointers, have questions, or just want to chat.
