Born in Northern Russia (above Arctic Circle and about 94 miles away from Arctic Ocean) in a family of Ukrainian origin, I spent my childhood there, then I moved to Ukraine and then to America. I always love to write, mostly for friends who enjoy reading my stories and laughing at them. The reason why I did not become a professional writer is when my family moved to Ukraine from Russia, my knowledge of Ukrainian language was not enough to go to a writer school. When I moved to the USA, I encountered the same problem - a new language, and I said, "No way! I will write... in English!"

True gardening stories: My funniest garden experience
To be honest, I'm a pretty lousy gardener and for the longest time I didn't even remotely enjoy gardening. After all, I was born and grew up above the Arctic Circle in Northern Russia where permafrost provides a perfect excuse for lazy people like me not to plant anything.
