I am a freelance Country music journalist and author. I have two books published: "European Confession" and "Country Conversations: Timeless Stories from the Legends of Country Music."
I am also Advertising Director for a Country music radio station.
I am passionate about Classic Country music and Traditional Country music. I especially enjoy listening to new artists who lean toward the traditional country side of music.
My spare time is consumed with public speaking engagements and booksigning events. And, writing yet another book.

Country music as a genre has influenced the world of music for nearly 100 years. The very first country music recordings were referred to as "hillbilly" music, then later, "folk" music. The first country single to sell one million copies was not by the Carter Family or Jimmie Rodgers. It was recorded by a man named Marion Slaughter. His stage name was Vernon Dalhart. The song was "The Prisoner's Song." It was released in the mid-1920's. But, the it was A.P. Carter and the Carter Family along with Jimmie Rodgers that propelled country music to radio airwaves in the early 1930's.
