Warren Longwell is a freelance writer, lecturer, and photojournalist. Together with his wife, Nancy Jo, he co-authored the successful suspense novel, Stonecypher Road, published in late 2005 by The Invisible College Press. After reading it, best-selling author, Clive Cussler, said this about the couple, "Anybody who likes wild drives with fast cars through the Rockies and who adorns mystery and intrigue with ancient glyphs can't be all bad."
In their capacity as travel writers, he and Nancy Jo sail around the world every other year, having completed five different circumnavigations. Their sea-voyage specialty is freighter travel aboard working cargo and container ships. Most of their published photographs and written articles deal with living conditions inside third-world slums.
