: About Me

I am almost 60 years old and proud of it. I have a lot of medical issues the last one being breast cancer. I am now a survivor and am grateful for technology like mammograms. That's how they found what turned out to be a cancerous tumor. No one could feel it and they told me that it would have been 2 years before they could have felt it.

I have three adult children of whom I am very proud. I also have one grandchild who has brought much joy into our lives.

I love dogs and have two of my own, Emma, a Golden retriever, and Bugsy, a West Highland White Terrier. They are my personal therapy dogs. They give me a reason to get up in the morning. They love me no matter how sick I am or how long it's been since I had a shower. If I'm out and about I cannot walk by a dog without stopping to greet it.

My faith is the cornerstone of my life. I know that God will get me through the rough times and be joyful when I am.

I'm a friendly person. I love people watching and I talk to anyone who will listen. I try to spread God's love by being cheerful and patient.

I've been married for 40 years through thick and thin. As annoying as he can be, I can't imagine life without my husband.

The only perfect gifts were given to an infant by kings over 2,000 years ago. We’ve been trying ever since to come even close to perfection. Finding the right gift for a friend or family member can be a delightful treasure hunt or a trip through hell with the other thousand shoppers at the mall. Some people are easy to buy for and some are impossible. My dad gave my mother the kind of gifts most wives only dream about. But she was never pleased. The perfume and jewelry weren’t practical. On the other hand, we could give my dad a box of rocks and it would bring tears to his eyes...
