: About Me

HORSE ARTIST AND WRITER Cindy Beck has always loved horses and other animals. She had a busy life with four kids,an eighteen acre horse farm with an active boarding stable and pony ride business. In addition to her business and family, she was a night watch person for five months of the year at a large thoroughbred farm during foaling season. Basically she was a horsie midwife.
Her creative side was kept alive but sort of on the back burner.

Now the kids are grown, the farm is in her daughter's hands and health problems have slowed her down. She lives in an apartment for god's sake! So after looking around and saying 'gosh I'm bored' she decided to really focus on her art and promotion of same.

Then she couldn't resist writing stories to go with the art. Readers said ... gee they are great...you should be a writer. Cindy thought well why not be both. Here she is...atttempting to be all and do all as usual.

Once I was a happy vibrant person doing what I loved and surrounded by friends and my animals. I lived on a small horse farm by a beautiful stream and life was hard but good. Then a series of misfortunes mixed with failing health combined to take it all away from me. I have always been an optimist and thought,"Well, something will come up. It will all work out."
