I wasn't going to get a cat, let alone two cats. But things seem to work out a little differently than I had planned them on a regular basis. One of my friends called me one afternoon to tell me that her boyfriend's neighbors had just moved and left two cats behind. The cats were a mother and son pair, and the son was jet black-just the sort of cat that I wanted. So I told her I'd see what we could do, and discussed it with my roommate.
