I think i write to live-honestly!
Been writing for years and don't recall a day i have lived without writing (you know, i think i was writing even before i was born...ha ha!)
I always used to wonder when i'd ever perfect my art but along the way,i have realised that everything in life is just a learning process.
I first started out with poetry which is still my greatest passion. However, i'm a trained journalist by profession and have been published in various media :-online,magazines and newspapers. I have worked in various media houses, entertainment and corporate sectors. Planning to do my MA soon and currently seeking a grant...
I participate in a myriad of spoken-word and prose-reading events and spend a lot of time expanding the appreciation of art in Kenya and the world in general.
I love books,honesty, pushing myself to the edge,dancing, comedies and animations, theatre and learning new ways of looking at the world.
People who know me describe me as an extremist who loves to explore every aspect of life.

They say that music is food for the soul. I do not totally disagree with this but then do we eat food throughtout the day-do we now? When i am working all i need is an interrupted thought process. At that time, i need to use my entire body, soul and spirit to create my own world and i therefore need to put myself in that fresh 'zone' to suit my writing needs. I tried listening to music while i was at the office trying to write my stories. It simply did not work. I would therefore say that it all depends on the kind of work you do.
