About me - Rabi

About me

I'm a long time college student. Decided on a switch in majors late into my first choice, so by the time I finish my current degree I'll have close to 200 credit hours. Sick, I know. I'm going to likely earn a master's degree in Criminal Justice, quite a switch from my initial aim of a B.S. in Computer Engineering.

I'm a photographer. I submit to Alamy. Hopefully it's going to pay for my equipment upgrades. I also shoot for a number of magazines and bands, and contribute to the newspapers for my county and college.

I'm engaged. My fiance is wonderful. She's close to finishing law school, and then may be going on for a her masters degree.

I'm hopefully well on my way to becoming a police officer. I've taken a few rounds of interviewing and testing, and have seen an improvement in every single measure, which I'm personally very proud of.

I write because I have a lot going on in my mind. Certain things need to be said, but typically aren't because of the 'PC' crowd condemning everyone that speaks their mind. Other things are too interesting to keep under wraps, so it gets shared here. I'm not a writer by any means, but Helium allows me to keep my wits sharper so I'll continue putting down how I feel and what I think about the world.

In today's society, sports and competition have some parents so tightly wound, the games at hand seem to matter more to them than their children. Simply put: Children love playing. Whether it's a makeup game, an actual sport, with their friends, or by themselves. They love to play. Up to a certain age, they couldn't care less about the score at the end. They come off the field up a few or down a lot, and it never matters. All they care about is telling mom and dad how awesome they did. All of the "Did you see me ...
