It is difficult for me to relate to the bitterness of Pastor Jeremiah Wright's oratory. This is not because I'm not black; it is because of my personality. I've never been the type to pick at old wounds. I'm not one to sacrifice today's joy in favor of lamenting yesterday's injustices. These things seem counterproductive and self-damaging to me.
