I have been writing since I was young. Even after a long day of theater rehearsals, I would grab my trusty pen with the announcement to my family, "I haven't been productive today."
In my career in the software industry, I have published many articles and contributed to books on business processes, and how to realize these processes with enterprise software. My primary topics in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) are in management accounting topics such as product costing and profitability analysis. Within CRM (Customer Relationship Management), I write most often about E-Commerce and Partner Relationship Management.
But old English majors die hard; I graduated from the College of William and Mary with a BA in English and German, where I was also a staff writer on The Flat Hat, the university newspaper. I also have an MBA from W&M, where I was the co-editor of the MBA Business Review.
I have recently rediscovered my love of writing outside the technical realm, and have concentrated both on articles and short stories. I have published fiction in both English and German languages, as well as placing several photographs.
Helium is a great place for sparking writing ideas and providing a forum for all types of writing. I have already sold several articles on the Marketplace (over 50% of my Marketplace submissions have sold, including sales prior to the New Marketplace), and hope that my work continues to resonate with publishers and readers.
