The fact that this incident happened, and was so poorly controlled, is quite appalling. Response time of the faculty and authorities was so painfully slow it allowed students on the other end of the campus to be murdered while the shooting was being investigated at the other end of the "Drill Field". The SWAT team was sent in too late, and the signs were not watched carefully enough. This is not the first time the campus has been placed in lock-down due to a hostile person on the premises.
