I'm 25 and have recently returned to my hometown of Los Angeles after a year long spiritual journey through the American Southwest. It's good to be home, but it's hard to see how things have changed since I've been gone.
I love music, philosophy, writing, nature, animals, cultural anthropolgy, spirituality, and good food. I've studied many of these subjects in a formal setting, but consider none of them to be my sole focus. I would love to be a famous musician or writer one day, but I realize how difficult that can be to acheive. If I don't succeed at that I would be happy just to own a small upscale nightclub with good food and live music.
My passion is ...
music and writing.
I know too much about ...
way too many subjects.
My parents always told me ...
you're worthless.
My childhood ambition ...
to be a rock star.
My favorite memory ...
is spending time with someone special who I miss.
Why I write ...
because I can.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
a blank tv screen.
My first job ...
was Baskin Robbins.
My best moment ...
is always when I have nothing to lose and I'm under pressure.
My inspiration ...
is someone who I never see anymore.

Taoism most likely evolved into a religion toward the end of China's Hundred Schools of Thought period (770-222 B.C.E.). While some call it a philosophy rather than a religion, the presence of a unique cosmological and metaphysical structure explaining reality qualifies it as a religion. Many have tried to describe the Tao. To some it...
