A.E. Rivera was born in Brookln, New York to Puerto Rican parents. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Ecology and Mass Communications from Kansas State University, a Master's degree in Psychology from Capella University, and is a Certified Parenting Educator and Life Strategies Coach. Rivera has spent the last 17 years of her life working in the field of family advocacy, where she has designed programs to empower women and prevent family violence. She is a dynamic speaker in topics such as stress management, assertiveness, marital enrichment, effective communication, effective parenting, personal development, self-empowerment and positive thinking. Rivera writes poetry and articles and is currently working on her first novel.

Parenting is one of the most stressful and challenging jobs we will encounter in our lifetime.
