About me

Tammy Winand is a 40 year old creative soul who produces work in a variety of media, from the written word (creative nonfiction, poetry, occasional fiction) to digital photography and jewelry design, amongst others.

Born & raised in south central PA, she relocated to central FL in 1992 and has called the area "home" for most of the subsequent years, with interludes in Ireland, the UK, New Mexico, Arizona and most recently Wyoming.

In addition to her creative streak, Tammy is inspired by world travel, ancient history, a wide variety of 70s-80s-Celtic and Native American music, gardening and cats. She enjoys an eclectic range of films and television.

Her favorite authors include Anne Rice, SARK, and Sarah ban Breathnach.

Skara Brae, Scotland

Europe's best preserved Neolithic, or Stone Age, village, Skara Brae, is located on the west coast of Scotland's Orkney island, along the Bay of Skaill. Inhabited from between 3100 to 2500 BC, it consists of a group of 10 communal houses connected by stone lined passageways, some of which include intricate carvings.
