About me

Greetings my friends.

Hmmm...where to start? Okay, how about this, I'm the real superman but keep it under your hat, will ye cause with all that 'savin the world' carry on I'd never get any articles written.
I hail from Ulster, which is the northern six counties of the beautiful Emerald isle to those who don't recognise the moniker. Y'know, the scary part :) The part where they (in the past) spent all their time chuckin bombs at each other?
I currently reside Down Under (you all know that's Australia, right?) where I find myself baking in the infernal heat. I'm told I'll get used to it but it's been 7 years already - I think they're wrong.

In my spare time...no, wait, I don't have any spare time. I do stuff which includes but is not restricted to:
building an extension onto my house; racing a superbike (which is beyond any doubt the most thrilling thing I've EVER done, if only amateur - couldn't possibly afford pro racing); running a courier business and of course writing in an (I hope) engaging manner. I'm also 250 pages into my inaugral novel.

So, there y'go, a litle bit about me. I'm pleased to make your aquaintance my fellow writers and I look forward to many a spirited debate on a plethora of issues - some significant, some not so.

Till we meet again, I bid you good day :)

The headline in today's Daily Telegraph reads OUR ASHES HEROES'. Apparently the Australian cricket team have regained the Ashes, a minute trophy held in high esteem by those who crave it.
Faan-tastic that cricket rates right up there with watching paint dry is neither here nor there. Fact is, I would really like to know exactly what it is that makes a team of grown men playing sport, (a sport may I add, that has virtually no risk of even remotely close to serious injury), heroes.

I'm getting really tired at the frequency with which the word hero' is tossed around these days. And it's n...
