Why I write ...

it helps me learn, reflect, digest, sort, and classify everything going on in my mind. It helps me become more conscious of my life and this funny world. writing taps into the same part of our mind that dreams come from. with a better understanding of oneself coming from interpreting our dreams, the same comes from reflective writing.

Some of my favorite stories of all time are creation stories. I find a lot of power in the stories and I learn from the stories every time I read or hear them. It's like a favorite book you re-read over and over and new details emerge in the story which leads to a more complete understanding of the book. My personal favorite creation stories are from the Dine', Brule Sioux, and Cheyenne. For the most part, all tribes have a different story of creation. Some tribes tell of a creation out of the earth.
