Sometimes a Christmas tree is just a tree. We have a lot of them around here because we live in a forest. But are they religious symbols? A symbol is something that has meaning in itself and more meaning because people see something beyond what's on the surface. A cross is just a couple of lines intersecting, but it has more meaning when it's considered a Crucifix.
