My life is busy with being a civil service worker, a beekeeper, a writer and a crafter of heirloom children's playhouses. My local raw honey and bee products are marketed on line as well as at tailgate markets, fairs and festivals. I have 3 children. Two of my children are homeschool graduates and the last is in home school high school. I am an animal lover and became that way from growing up on a farm.
Recently I became involved in breeding queen bees and raising nucleus hives for sale. My BS degree is from NC State University in Natural Resource Management with a minor in Animal Science. My ambitions lean seriously towards trying for a masters degree in something like story telling. Recently my term as Vice-president of my beekeeper association ended after a successful couple of years but I have now been asked to serve as president of my county beekeeping chapter.
My favorite sports are major and minor league baseball, college football and basketball, track and field as well as NASCAR racing. I love to design and build children's playhouses but also do other woodwork when I can find the time. Photography and video are hobbies I enjoy and have some skill with (check out my video on Varroa Mites at www.wncbees.org ). I am new to writing because I always thought I was not skilled enough to write. I am trying my hand at writing even though it is difficult for me. It seems writing has becoming much easier for me as I practice on Helium. I greatly enjoy getting my thoughts and experiences in a format for others to enjoy. The more I write, the more I am also gaining interest in story telling. I love to tell stories with my writing and would like to get involved in that at a deeper level in a medium that is as old as mankind.

A friendship usually results from a defining moment when two people are thrust together in some very memorable situation or as a result of the casual activities of life we may be engaged in. In other words, we meet our friends where we live, participating in our favorite hobbies, studying in an educational environment, living near a great neighbor, or while we are earning our living. To be sure these few special people we meet can bond with us in a spiritual way that permeates our daily lives by giving us great pleasure and comfort as well as providing us a fierce advocate.
