The story of how the devil was born! This book is amazing. The rhythme that Thomas Harris writes with is a welcome contrast to the sinister tale that it encapsulates. The book draws you in with the pain of Hannibals childhood and creates a certain sympathy for the character. As you read you begin to feel sorry for this character and at some points justifies his actions.
The book is broken into three untitled sections but you can infer that it is the stages of Hannibal's growth. In the first part of the book you learn of Hannibals background as the son of a German Count in WWII. His...
