They never suspected me of pushing him overboard. They didn't even ask exactly what happened. So many lives were lost in the storm. We were supposed to split everything we caught. He always wasted his share on women and heroin in New Bedford & Glouscter. I had a few more payments on the house in Chillmark. He had kids who never saw a dime. He used to get so high. It was just me and him on the boat. I thought I'd be laughing. It was the scariest ride back to port, but I am over that, now.
