For some people it might be a good thing to believe in certain role models or idols.
But since my family is not religious at all I grew up with the idea that everything that happens in your life is because of your own doing and your own decisions. And to be perfectly honest, I find it hard to put my life in the hands of someone else (like God) and pray that it'll take a good course.
