About me

I am a horticulturist,teacher, garden writer, animal lover from the thumb area of Michigan. I have a husband, 3 children and 8 grandchildren. My husband and I live on a small farm where we have lots of pets, a few chickens, 2 mini horses and a big garden. I enjoy writing about a variety of subjects.

I have two published books, The Complete Idiots Guide to Country Living, published 11/08, and Raising Chickens for Dummies, published 8/09, both available on Amazon and in bookstores.

Marriage is not how heterosexual people can get an advantage over unmarried or homosexual persons. It's not about who can inherit communal assets, or get health insurance from another person's job, or legally cohabitate together.
