Let me preface this article with the admission that Barry Bonds is arguably, the greatest hitter alive. Regardless of the steroid allegations (which unfortunately must be considered when discussing the validity of such an accomplishment as 750 home runs), Bonds would probably have been elected to the Hall of Fame based on his performance prior to the 2001 season.
