About me - Dawn Pawz

About me

I am an individual that believes in the value of education.  Once out of high school I attended Junior College while working full time.  In my wait to enter the Diagnostic Ultrasound Program I completed the EMS program as top of my class.  I loved it.  Only problem, I had a problem with getting car sick in the ambulances!  Yikes!  I completed the Ultrasound program and worked in the field for eight years and grew to feel that I wanted more.  I wanted to be able to follow my work with individuals over the course of months instead of a scan or two.  The director at my college guided me into the field that I am now in and that is Speech Assisting.  I love it with all of my heart.  I get to work with pre school children that have articulation, language and autistic special needs.  Each day is a new challenge and adventure and I find that I am never bored and the rewards are Great.  The field is demanding, but it is worth it for me.

I love to write about my favorite things in my off time.  The environment, weather, wildlife and our two tri color collies, Kindr N Stix keep me happily writing away.

My Poem, "Ensnare," can also be seen on my blog site at: everythingcollies and last year was on Poetry.com, for a spell.

The legend of the Chupacabra "Goat Sucker" drums up mystery and fear in many.   This unknown beast that is said to suck the blood of it's prey.  What an unsettling thought!  Shakes my arm hairs.  But is it just a legend or can it be a possible new animal, yet to be discovered?  It has been sighted in North and South America in places such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Chile and even the United States.    Let's think about it for a moment.  We are making our own cloned animals now.  That thought to me is not a very comforting one.&nbs...
