About me - Sean Siemen

About me

I am a married man with kids currently working as a self employed house cleaner. I must be pretty good because I bought our house with the income I make with my cleaning business!
I've done a lot of studio work, singing for commercials, non-profit CD releases, etc. as well as produced my own with a group I sing with. It's fun and keeps me busy.
I really have rediscovered a love for writing, originally by blogging on myspace.com, but then as a way to put down stories I create for my kids to learn values and ideas. Sometimes a story is far better at communicating what you really want to say than a logical presentation.
I am also looking to have a housecleaning book published, sending off queries and the like to publishers and agents. It's definitely different than I expected but not so different than trying to get representation in the music industry.
I didn't really understand Helium when I set my account up and have only now started to get into writing through it. We'll see where it leads!

The Wind, the Grass, and the Trees

The wind rolled over the dancing heads of grass as it always had. The cold faded and the rains came. And so it continued beyond the memory of anyone on the prairie. None of the grasses knew anything other than the wind seeding his secrets among their dances. None of the other weeds had ever felt the total still of another existence. Even the wise worms would only concede it was po...
