By the way, I'm the one on the right >>>
I enjoy writing, especially creative writing, as it allows me to really express myself. I have speech problems so its easier to write things down. People who talk to me regularly really appreciate that I have a creative and intuitive way of talking and that I just need a bit more time to say things. Close friends rely on me for advice.
Although I'm only 19, I have seen so much suffering in hospitals and the like. Its really shaped me into the kind and considerate person that many people see me as. My mum always asks my opinion on personal stuff and seems to listen. Even my dad, who makes up his own mind about things. listens to me.
Creative writing is my passion. I love to write poetry and short stories. My best poem to date is called "Dove" and I wrote it in loving memory of my grandma who sadly passed away last year after battling with a heart condition. My best short story is one really on opening chapter of a novel that I never had time to write. Its my spin on the Arthurian legends and stories. Its much more Celtic / Welsh than others and definately not Christian orientated. No grail hunting for me!
I'm at Edinburgh University studying for an honous degree in biology. I'm hoping to specialise in molecular genetics or biochemistry and pursue a research career in the relevant direction. I really want to do a Ph.D in that field as well.
I think that's all really... oh! and I'm a Celtic Eclectic Pagan as well.
