I am a stay at home mom of a Husky / Coyote cross, a Golden Lab / Collie cross, a Shih Tzu cross, and an 18 year old little black cat who hates everyone except me and the Husky / Coyote. They are best of friends. All are mostly indoor animals, and my Husky / Coyote feels she knows better that the rest of us. She is probably right. It gets amusing at times. They are my sanity.
I live in a rural area, both farmland and forest nearby, so it is quiet, and peaceful, with plenty of time on my hands. I have taken my love of reading and turned it into a love of writing. Helium offers a great outlet and a chance to learn.

How do you judge a pet’s intelligence? How does one even define intelligence? The ability to learn, to comprehend, to understand and profit from experience. The faculty of thought and reason. Animals have this. With all the different personalities, how can one really determine how intelligent a creature is? If someone has a multitude of mostly indoor pets, they will see different forms of intelligence, from immensely different personalities.
