My passion is ...
Maintaining current Accurate Knowledge of things that are important. I have always been an "animal person" and I love the outdoors. I also enjoy photography. Currently I am concentrating on bettering my skills in photography. I am very involved in animal rights, though I do not belong to any animal rights groups, as I have discovered that many of them do not live up to their public image. Presently, I am working on developing and improving my writing skills.
I know too much about ...
I sometimes think I know too much about the dark side of some so called pet rescue organizations, as well as many individuals who claim to be pet rescuers, but if I didn't know the truth about these people and things, I wouldn't be able to warn others about the evil perpetrated on many animals that were either trapped or turned over to these people and organizations for adoptions that never happened.
My parents always told me ...
Be truthful and honest. If you can't have self respect, no one else will respect you either.
My childhood ambition ...
Always keep occupied in things that matter. Care about and help others.
My favorite memory ...
I have many wonderful memories. Most of them are of the times I was out in nature, whether horseback riding, or camping, fishing, or hiking. I love being in the mountains. I love riding horses there, as well as driving along curvy mountain roads.
Why I write ...
I write because I must. I have always been driven to write. When I was younger, most of my writing consisted of business topics. I prepared and wrote specifications for construction and landscaping projects. I also wrote up proposals and contracts. I did not really have time for other types of creative writing then. I am now doing a lot of writing about happenings around me, and about the rights of living creatures.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I read the Bible, mysteries, both fiction and nonfiction. Occasionally I read poems. I do a lot of reading of newspapers in my quest for animal rights.
My first job ...
When I married, my husband and I worked together in his contracting business. I was the Office Manager. I did payroll, financial statements, etcetera. I designed landscape and irrigation systems for everything from apartments, condos, schools, shopping centers, etcetera. I was the cost analyst. I also prepared the proposals, contracts, procured the necessary permits and licenses to perform the jobs.
My best moment ...
1- The birth of my children; 2- When my first horse finally decided I was someone he could trust, and we were finally able to have lots of fun racing trains, playing in the sprinklers, and riding in the local hills, and even in heavy traffic. The traffic was a particular challenge, as Mecca was only a three year old gelding at the time..
My inspiration ...
My Parents. My Father had to quit school in seventh grade when his Father died, leaving five daughters, and two sons. My Mother had been ill for many years, yet she was always kind and loving. She was very creative, and loved singing, writing, and art. My Father was an electrician. He was also a perfectionist in whatever he set our to do. He made sure it was done right. He never stopped learning, either. He never gave up when the going got rough.

Assaying is the analysis of ore, metal or alloy. The discipline is known as metallurgical assay. There are several uses for assaying metals, both before and after refining it. For example, samples are always taken from potential mines, to be sure of the quality of the desired metal, to verify the mining of said metal will be profitable. These samples are then sent or taken to an assay office, where the sample (s) will be analyzed in any of several different ways. While there are many areas of the world that have gold, one of the very precious metals, not every site will prove t...
