I'm a 44 year-old male that resides with my wife and two kids in Spring Hill, Florida. I work as a RN at a Cancer Hospital. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York and am immensely proud of my Brooklyn roots.
I enjoy classic rock and roll; the fantasy genre; and am a soccer coach on my son's team. Growing up, I always wanted to be a writer-but never wrote. I maintained that if I tried to write for a living and failed, my dream would be gone. As I've grown older, and wider, I realize that I was wrong about the writing thing. We'll see where this Helium endeavor goes. Peace.

When I bought my house I was pleased to know that it had a fireplace. I envisioned romantic evenings spent next to a crackling fire with my wife, a bottle of Thunderbird-wine and the kids in bed, deeply in sleep's coma upstairs. Barry White's voice added to the ambiance. Then I examined my fireplace - the firebox ( the part of the fireplace that actually holds the fire) was rusted, the damper (an air-flow control device) was frozen open.
