I am an up and coming writer who has just begun the exciting journey toward becoming the writer I intend to be.

As a Writer it is my goal to help or entertain others through my articles.

As the Health & Fitness Steward here at helium it is my goal to help other writers while improving the overall wealth of information we have to offer here at helium.

As a Fitness Writer and overall fitness nut it is my goal to improve my own quality of life and achieve a higher level of fitness while also helping others reach their fitness goals.

Helium News:

I am happy to announce that I have accepted the position of Steward over the Health and Fitness Channel. It is our goal to develop new ideas and to make the area as comprehensive as possible.

If any members have original ideas for topics they would like to see in this area, please do not hesitate to get in touch, as the role of the Steward is to be there for any members that need help within that area.

The Helium Fitness Writers Collaborative is up and running as is the Helium Fitness Writing Workshop. If you have an interest in fitness or need fitness advice stop in sometime. We'd love to hear your input.

Here at helium we are all about writers helping writers. That is the main goal of the Fitness Writers Collaborative and the Fitness Writing Workshop.

Writing News:

Some of my fitness and beauty articles have been purchased for online as well as print publication.

Recently Hospice published one of my articles in their newsletter. They felt it would help those who have lost loved ones deal with the grieving process. It is such a blessing to hear that something I have written is helping others.

On a Personal Note:

I have always had a love for the written word. I have a tendency to hold on to scraps of paper just because a loved one penned a few words on them.

As a young child, I always had a love for reading. Now only recently have I discovered a love for writing and have found that writing seems to come naturally.

I am 41 years old. The most important things about me include the fact that I am a Christian, a wife, a mother, a daughter and a grandmother.

Upon turning 40, I discovered my love for writing and my dream of one day becoming a published author. I have the desire within me to write Christian books.

My husband and I have a heart for the elderly and enjoy finding ways to brighten the day of those we know and love.

I love fitness and very much enjoy helping others achieve a higher level of fitness. This is why I tend to write many articles in the health and fitness category.

I have many new goals for the future.

I love life and learning.

Children of alcoholics grow up to be adult children of alcoholics. My story is a little different from many others I've heard about, as my dad was never abusive to me. Actually, my dad never spanked me.

In my teen years is when my dad's alcoholism got out of control. During that time, it seems most days revolved around trying to pretend life was not what it was. I distanced myself from friends and family.
