About me - Stephanie Wiederspohn

About me

I am currently 25 years of age, with a 2 month old baby boy. I met my husband when I was 15 years old. At the age of 21 we purchased our first home, a 1970's mobile home. We were married on January 31, 2009. It was a small wedding consisting only of 20 of our closest friends and family. We set off to our honeymoon, in Mexico the next day. In October of 2009, we purchased our second, much nicer home, (the kind with a basement and free of wheels).

I  worked full time as an Office Manager at a Convenience Store/Liquor Store for 5 years. I was in charge of scheduling, payroll, ordering product, inventory, and working with product representatives in merchandising and creating displays.

I left that job abruptly one day in December of 2010 due to unfair working conditions and health concerns. I had been battling IBS and depression and decided I was no longer willing to put my health at risk for a job where my hard work was under-appreciated. I received my Diploma in Childhood Psychology in January 2011, and started up a daycare in my home.

After leaving my old job, my health improved and I was able to discontinue my IBS medication. I also dropped myself down to the lowest dose available for my anti-depressants.With my health improved and my depression under control, my husband I decided to start our family. I found out I was pregnant in March of 2011, and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Kolby James Wiederspohn, on November 13, 2011.

Our family also includes a Miniature Pinscher named Bowser, two cats; Boots & Phoenix, and a cockatiel named Petey, (who surprised us when HE proved to be a SHE, by laying eggs). We all live happily in our home in a small town in Saskatchewan, Canada.

I love to read and write, but rarely find the time to do so. I am hoping to be able to do more writing and be a more active member on Helium in the future. I currently spend most of my "free time" finding coupons and deals in order to save money. I also find myself participating in surveys and other activities in order to make a little extra cash.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

My family and my life in general. I try to be proud of myself and appreciate everything I have been given in my life and each little thing I have accomplished so far. I also get a thrill in saving money via coupons and deals.

I know too much about ...

Nothing. I love learning knew things, there's no such thing as too much information.

My parents always told me ...

One quote I have etched in my brain from my dad, and try to live by every day is, "Don't put off tomorrow what you could do today"

My childhood ambition ...

My childhood dream changed like the seasons. At one point I wanted to be a vet, then a teacher. When I was about 4 years old I thought waitressing would be the coolest thing ever.

My favorite memory ...

I suppose my favorite memory would have to be with my dad. The two of us went to an auto wrecker yard to get parts for his car when I was about 8 years old. We went out to the farthest part of the lot, and of course it had to start raining very hard. I sat in one of the cars while my dad dug out parts from it. We ended up walking back in the pouring rain, dragging our loot all the way. It wasn't very fun at the time, but for whatever reason, I now look back at it fondly.

Why I write ...

Writing is my chance to open up my mind and challenge myself. I always push myself to write the best that I can.It gives me a chance to relax and be me. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and myself. A lot of times I do not even realize how knowledgeable I am about a topic until I start writing about it.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I am a big Dean Koontz fan and am currently reading "Watchers". I also enjoy Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. I am hooked on true reality shows like "Hoarders, & Intervention". "The Big Bang Theory" is at the top of my list for comedies at the moment.

My first job ...

My first job was so boring! I was a hand collator at a print shop. I would walk around a table, assemble textbooks and catalogues, and seal them up in a box. This would be done over and over again for 8 hours.

My best moment ...

The very best moment of my life was when I gave birth to my son, Kolby on November 13, 2011.

My inspiration ...

I am my own inspiration. I may sound selfish, but I'm not. I believe everyone should inspire themselves for greatness. If you don't believe in yourself no one else will. I always try to be positive about life and do my best to be a decent human being and live up to my own moral standards

Relationships & Family > Dating Psychology Is jealousy a proof of love?

Jealousy is often mistakenly seen as a form of love. This can be especially true in some women who believe that men need to vie for their attention. These women believe that if their partner is not jealous of them being around other men, then they most not love them. This could not be any farther from the truth. True love is about trust and understanding. A person who is prone to jealousy does not have trust and understanding towards their partner. Jealousy is an indication that the person is insecure and has a low self esteem. They may not believe that they are a good enough person, or th...
