Nominated for the "Inspirational Garden Writer of the Year" award 2000 from the UK Garden Writers' Guild, Glen Headland has been writing for over 20 years and is a regular contributor to many UK magazines and newspapers.
She had made numerous appearances on television and radio, but is best known for her popular and long running columns in Woman's Weekly, where she chronicled the ups and downs of restoring her Berkshire garden and later unleashed a wicked side in her "Wry Smile" column, which ran parallel with Terry Wogan's "Wit and Wisdom". She also specializes in celebrity interviews, social history, lifestyle and humour.
She now lives near the sea in Devon, UK, where she writes, lectures, grows hundreds of plants and plays with her camera.
One day soon, she'll be writing that book.......

I know too much about ...

My parents always told me ...
Aim for the moon, but tidy your room first.
My childhood ambition ...
To be an ice-skater. Where did it all go wrong?
Why I write ...
Can't help myself.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Reading "The Book Thief" Markus Zusak - recommended. Watching the rain fall outside whilst listening to Sam Baker.
My first job ...
In the music business, as an agent of all things!
My best moment ...
Yet to come!
My inspiration ...
Life in general, people in particular and one or two particular people.
