I've lived in Spain for the last six years with my husband, two teenage daughters, a large lovable Briard and a newly acquired Alsatian puppy! We moved from Southport, near Liverpool to embark on a new challenge, embrace a new culture, learn a new language and broaden our children's horizons as well as our own. It's been an emotional rollercoaster but we've hung on and are now in the happy situation of enjoying the best of both worlds, having kept a small house in our hometown. Travel is a passion and I hope I can carry on enjoying the wonders and the diversity our world has to offer.
I studied English Literature and Modern History a lifetime ago at Liverpool University and later completed a course in Freelance Writing for Magazines at Keele University. I have had several articles published in national UK magazines and am currently looking for an agent to represent my first novel while carrying on with my second. Since completing 'The Unhappy Fairy' at the age of 7, I've loved writing and hope that it will always be part of my life.
“…And they promised me cake!” On a beautiful sunny morning in February, seven intrepid members of Woodvale Ladies Circle embarked in two cars on a day’s hiking around Rivington Pike near Bolton. The group ranged from those hardened veterans of the fells complete with walking boots and encrusted socks, to those who had forgotten their plastic carrier bag on which to park for lunch.
