I was born March 22, 1963 in Othello, Washington.
I have lived my entire life in this state and currently reside in Spokane Valley with my wife and two dogs.
I am a professional draftsman and work for a local company that provides steel joists and deck primarily for commercial buildings.
I am an avid amature history buff - particularly naval history. I write science fiction and also model ships and aircraft mostly from the WWII era.
In my spare time I work on rebuilding my 1973 Plymouth Duster and enjoy movies.
Although I have written for years, my fiction thus far is unpublished. I hope Helium will give me an opportunity to expose my work to others.
Why space? Space exploration, be it by manned or unmanned vehicles seems exotic and disconnected from the concerns of the ordinary American citizen. Many wonder why we spend billions to get images of other worlds which seem impossibly remote or risk human lives to collect a few rocks. This narrow view is characteristic of the current apathy of the general public. It is reinforced by the disinterest of the popular media and lackluster governmental support.
