For the last twenty plus years I have been deeply involved in the publication of printed material. I have worked for the Fine Arts Department at BYU-Hawaii, which is consistently ranked as a top-tier university by the prestigious news magazine, U.S. News and World Report. It is located on the North Shore on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. I specialized as a marketer for the many concerts, plays, musical productions, visiting faculty recitals, and student recitals.
I am well aware of the need for perfect copy when preparing programs, invitations, booklets and advertising for university printed media. Having been surrounded by academia has made perfection a goal in all of my writing. While I worked in the Fine Arts Department, I pursued my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Art, which required many hours of writing papers.
Recently I have been writing articles for various online sites including associatedcontent.com, hubpages.com, ezinearticles.com, shewrites.com and my own personal blogs. I just discovered helium.com and would like to join the community of writers here.
My reason for writing is for personal expression as well as to share my experiences, knowledge and in turn to learn from others. My husband and I have four children, and we enjoy the new experience of being grandparents. I also enjoy gardening, bicycling, painting and genealogy.
