I have been a musician/artist my whole life. I started playing piano at the age of three and the violin at the age of ten. I received music scholarships to attend college. Marriage and the arrival of children put my music career on the shelf. While raising my children I began drawing. My works have been in several art shows and I did commissioned works. I am looking at my writing now as another creative outlet and I am just now beginning to get my feet wet here at Helium. Im looking at this as another wonderful opportunity.
Where do I start to tell the story of my survival? I am still finding it very hard to talk about the early days, as it has just been a year since I left him. All I can say is that you take it one step at a time. I was forty eight years old when I got off the bus with three suitcases and two hundred dollars in my pocket. I had no car, no job, and was going to live with my daughter and her three children.
