I haven't written a lot but I do enjoy writing and have had a couple of articles I wrote published. I currently keep a blog and write about technology.

I am a Network Administrator and have been working as a Computer Tech for over 12 years. I have the following certifications: MCSE, MCP+I, A+, and GCWN. I administer a network at a College and am in charge of 7 servers and over 400 computers.

I enjoy computers and technology. I have experience with both Windows based PC's and MAC's. I have built computers from scratch as well as fixed hardware and software issues. I have a side business of fixing personal computers as well as my day job.

It is my hope that my technology writings will be of help to those who need it.

I live in California with my husband and two dogs. :-)

First off let me just say that I use both the MAC and Windows based machines equally, every day, and have for over 5 years. Secondly, let me say that I am employed by a University so I have some knowledge of what students use. With that being said my answer is really it depends! It depends on what the student plans on doing with the computer and what classes they are taking. If the student is an art major then they had best be getting a MAC as MAC has always been know for the best performance for software such as Photo shop.
