I am a mother, writer, and advocate for special needs families. At 34, I have six children and two grandchildren. They have all taught me a lot but the three special needs kids are my greatest teachers.
I live in Detroit, Michigan. The city is in trouble and I hope that by making other folks aware of what is going on here, we can make changes. At my home we are working on Greening our property and returning to a more country style of life.
The schools here are horrible and may be beyond help. I am hoping that a recent changing of the guard will help. I home school two children and two attend school until I don't feel they are getting the help they are there for.
We are poor, white, and the minority of our area. We feel left out by many of the area resources and are looking to create change for other families that are left out for what ever reason.
OK so I have many causes. Besides the above mentioned I am very against child abuse. I support veterans and think they come home to a raw deal. I enjoy being a voice for those who can't speak for themselves.
Very nice to meet you and I hope you enjoy my articles.

Let’s look at just the United States, or better yet, just Detroit, Michigan. This city is a great example of the extreme spectrum of morals that our society has. If one city can contain such a varied moral base, imagine the scale of a country or the world. Also, are the morals now different from the past? Detroit is a city full of crime. Kids cannot wait for their buses to school without worrying if they will be shot or beaten. Boyfriends hide their dead girlfriends in the trunks of their car for months. People hurting from lack of money, strip empty homes of their siding, plumbing, ...
