First, and foremost, I am the wife of a brilliantly wonderful man, and the mother of two of the most precious girls on earth. We have been married for 22 years that have flown by at an alarming rate, and our children are 19 and 17 years old.
We own two towing companies. This has educated us, amused us, brought us joy as well as pain, given us friends we would have never known otherwise, and shown us so many dimensions of human nature. People are truly amazing!
I love to debate issues. What that really translates to is that I like to argue...a lot. Many of the points I try to make aren't necessarily cut and dry, or even what I truly believe, but just a different perspective to a subject that should be considered. This is what makes my husband brilliantly wonderful. Can you imagine staying sane after 22 years of that?
Affirmative Action was a vital and necessary part of our history. Without affirmative action, desegregation would have never worked. Discrimination of every other ethnicity and sex besides the white man would have continued in the workplace, even if we were successful in getting our schools desegregated. How any group of people can proclaim that they are more human, or of a higher power than anyone else is beyond me, but, that's our history.
