: About Me

NAME: Riley MacDonell
LOCATION: Connecticut, United States of America
AGE: 21 years old

My name's Riley. I'm a writer. I've written more short stories than I know what to do with. I've written hundreds of songs for the bands that I play in. I've written countless poems to get me through the rough patches in my life. Writing is what I do. It's what I've always done, and it's what I'll keep on doing until the end of it all.

When I'm not writing I'm usually keeping busy by either playing music (bass guitar and tin whistle, most times), snapping photographs, hiking or just hanging around with my friends or family. That or working, but working isn't so much a hobby as it is a necessary evil. Not that I don't like my job or anything, because I love it, but still...

So far I have self-published two books and I'm currently working on about four more, all in different stages of completion. Some day I'll finish all my projects but right now I'm just taking everything one day at a time. Between working for a local punk magazine, playing in two bands, working fulltime, studying at the New York Institute of Photography and trying to have a somewhat normal social life, there's not much time for typing out novel after novel. One day it'll all work out, I'm sure.
