My growing up years were a little on the unorthodox side. My Dad had an aversion to staying in one place for more than a few months, or sometimes even weeks.
I have had the experience of coming home from school to find my parents loading up the car and we would once again be traveling to a destination unknown even to my father. I didn't get to say goodbye to friends I might have made; any unnecessary items I may have collected had to be left behind.
Some of my childhood memories are painful but on the whole, when I look back I find it is with fondness and a great affection for my family. We had a lot of good times and I did get an education albeit somewhat different than most children.
I graduated High School but did not have an opportunity to go any further. I consider myself to be self taught. I have been writing since I was about 12 but only for me. Occasionally I would share something but not often. My daughter introduced me to Helium and I have been having a great deal of fun with it.
I am enjoying writing and if someone happens to reads what I write and they enjoy it too, then that will be the icing on the cake.
In addition to being a wife and mother, I worked as a nursing assistant in a hospital for several years then did a stint as a upc clerk for a large retail store. For most of my working years I was Circulation Director for a small publishing company.

My Mama, my Daddy My Mama, my Daddy, my brother and me We traveled this country, a small family Headed out from Missouri to anyplace west But we always wound up where daddy thought best. He looked for the green grass but we loved him still When he wanted to see what was over that hill Now that kind of life might seem hard to some But we liked to be gypsies so we followed the sun. Mom and Dad in the front seat content and carefree My brother and I would soon start to sing We sang lots of songs we knew every line And in between verses read Burma Shave signs We had few possessions for this wo...
