: About Me

Welcome to my 'About Me' page! First and foremost, I am a happy mother of two. I have an 8 year old son and a 6 year old daughter! They both are my miracles in life and never ending joys! They both have encouraged me to write down the stories I told them as little tots. What an inspiration these two are!

I have lived in various places within the United States and in Germany. A military brat, I am. My husband is now retired military and we reside in the very state I was born in-Alabama.

I love to travel and visit new places. I enjoy reading, crafting, and of course, writing!

I have written poetry and have had a few published in years past. I have written and maintained a monthly newsletter for an FRG (Family Readiness Group). I really enjoyed doing that for my husband's last military unit. I have also written a few articles on Clubmom.com.

My childhood ambition ...

My childhood ambition was to become an accomplished writer.

My favorite memory ...

My favorite memory is when I held my firstborn for the first time, and realized he was healthy!

Why I write ...

I write because it is a part of me and a passion of my heart.

My first job ...

was as a babysitter.

My inspiration ...

comes from my children, my husband, my family, and my dearest friends who always encourage me to 'go for it'!

Most of us already have a relationship to one or more elders within our families. Through experience, I have found that having a 'good ear' serves a great purpose in the lives of our beloved elders.
