LG Lolito belongs to a clan of teachers living in Cebu, which is located in the central part of the Republic of the Philippines. His parents and some relatives are all teachers. He has six relatives who are still active in the four walls of the classroom, while the others were retirees. Some Filipino families carry similar situation as theirs, that's why it is an open secret that his country can afford to export educators, side by side with nurses to the neighboring Asian nations, and as far as Europe, Middle East and America. Unfortunately, with this exodus, his government is left behind to solve the intriguing problem of brain drain.
Anyway, as expected, LG Lolito has teaching as the main profession. He was able to acquire several teaching and administrative experiences. He was a university professor, principal and assistant principal. He was also a curriculum chairman, subject area coordinator and a sports moderator. Last but not least he was a sports coach, classroom teacher and private schools' accreditor. His wife too is a teacher, who last held the position of the Dean of the Teachers' College in one of the prestigious teacher- training institutions of the country. Summarily, his teaching and administrative stints started in Kindergarten and ended up in the graduate school.
Writing is one of his hobbies that commenced when he tried writing articles during his high school and college days. It is next to his innate talent which is singing. His little knowledge on writing has pushed him to write school manuals, reviewers and handbooks. His humble prowess has also led him to edit masteral thesis and doctoral dissertation which are related to his degrees and profession. It is also the reason why at times he finds joy to contribute write-ups to some newspapers like Sunstar Daily, The Freeman and Cebu Daily News as well as The Immigrant, Helium and many more. His writings cover the topics on governance, education and politics as well as poetry, sports and entertainment. As he writes, he keeps on praying and wishing that his readers (just like his song listeners) , would appreciate and understand his conveyed sentiments and messages, which could unravel the varying intricacies and mysteries of life.
