Rena Kay is very new to the writing world. Writing for her self is a lot different than writing for the world. After years of writing for family, she decided to try her hand at a different venue. Through Helium she has found a home for her poetry and short stories. Her poetry, won poem of the month July 2009 at Poetrycraze.com and this gave her the encouragement to continue with her writing.She went by the pen name Louisianwytch for many years, but decided to change it to one very close to her heart. A combination of her beloved mother and baby sister. Both were her cheerleaders and her biggest critics.

My Legacy As I sit here, I wonder? Am I the person I wished me to be? Have I treated others with compassion and caring, regardless of how I was treated? Did I take care of and love my family? Did I smile and speak to someone who was friendless? Or did I offer a helping hand to someone lost and broken? Or did I turn away and pretend I didn't see the anguish in their eyes?
