About me - Ginger Earle

About me

I am a fellow writer. Throughout college I worked for Michael Hauge, an author, lecturer, and screenwriting consultant. Working with Michael was an amazing experience that taught me how to work with other writers and what makes a screenplay great.

I also spent a summer working in development at Miramax , where I read and wrote coverage for hundreds of scripts, and learned what it took to get past the gatekeepers, and what made a script stand out from the hundreds that were sent each week. I also learned what caused the readers to immediately reject a script, and what mistakes caused us to lose interest in a story.

I earned a Master's Degree in Screenwriting from California State University Northridge, where I taught an undergraduate screenwriting course, and worked as a teacher's assistant in a few graduate writing courses, which further developed my knowledge of how to write a great script, and, more importantly, how to help others in their own journey to writing the perfect story. Since graduating, I have worked as a consultant, working with other writers on developing their ideas, improving their scripts, and understanding the art of storytelling.

I recently left a job in event planning at the Four Seasons hotel to work from home consulting screenwriters, and of course, writing and marketing my own screenplays.

I was so nervous I was shaking, knowing this was the moment when I would find out if I was really pregnant, if it was healthy, and the first time I would see our little bean. At first the ultrasound looked weird, the screen was empty. She swished around a little more and then I saw it. The little embryo was there for sure. To me, it looked tiny, ...
