About me - Jan Michael Yip

About me

I am Jan Michael Yip, a renal nurse by profession and a freelance writer in between duties. I took up Psychology in college to better understand people and to try and figure out what makes all of us tick. That helped a bit but people in general are still a mystery to me. After a brief stint doing tech support for consumer electronics, ISP's and telecoms companies, I experienced an epiphany of sorts that required a major course correction in my life. I went back to  school and took up nursing. It  was around that time when I dabbled in writing. I remembered feeling a great sense of accomplishment as I cashed my first check for ghost writing topics ranging from gambling to search engine optimizations. I fancied myself a writer since then.

Aside from reading and writing, I pride myself in being a movie buff. Schedule permitting and with usual company in tow, no good movie (and bad ones too) escape my harsh critique be it in ink or sarcasm laden oral commentary. It's just plain fun, really.

Now if they weren't, the follow up questions were did they need volunteers, were they conducting trainings, do they have on the job trainings and other substantial queries I could think of just to make my visit worthwhile. Yeah I could have just called...
