About me - Melissa Raissa

About me

I'm a computer science graduate with a penchant for design. I'm currently exploring digital arts which is a combination of two of my favorite passions, computers and art. I've always loved drawing by hand but growing up in the computer era expanded my interests to the many new ways of creating artworks.

My love for visuals sparks my curiosity about how such effects were made whether in photography, illustrations, movies or even in real-life scenarios. The beauty in natural scenes are always inspiring, sometimes just downright breathtaking, and it never fails to motivate.

My other passion, one that I share with many other women, is fashion. I consider it as art that has come to life, in the way that it is tangible, that it can be expressed every single day, and the truth of its expression - this last one becoming a rare yet important quality. It doesn't have to be trendy, it just has to be real.

I believe that every person is unique and that it is our responsibility to keep that individuality as a veneration to the One who made us. Each of us can affect the world through our ideas and talents. That's why it's important for us to contribute what we can to help make things a little better than what it used to be before we got here.

Religion & Spirituality > Religious Concepts (Other) Do you place more trust in people or God?

The question is somewhat of a contradiction for me since, I believe, God is inside of every person. And if God exists within each of us, we are therefore both our own person and an extension of God. In other words, putting our trust in the "right" people is also a way of putting our trust in God who created and, consequently, sent the person to us in our time of need. I'd like to emphasize on the "right" people or person because not everyone we meet is going to be good for us. But it has been my experience that whenever I feel lost, I meet or I'm already with someone whose capable of enlig...
