I have been writing since I was old enough to pick up one of those big yellow pencils they gave us at school. In my Catholic school, reading and writing were highly prized.
I went on to major in English with a Creative Writing concentration in college and received my BA.
I am, however, a reluctant writer. Like a lot of us I am tentative, unsure of my talent and, sometimes, just downright paralyzed. I find myself reading about writing instead of actually writing. You ever do that?
I have a butt kicker right now, though. I've reunited with an old friend from many years ago who is dragging me, kicking and screaming, into the WRITING word. I thank God for him on a daily basis.
